I had a pretty good shave today. Still did some cleanup with a DE but it was the best yet.

    Shower
    Conditioner
Super Scuttle with 23 MM silvertip, bought off ebay
    Taylors OBS Sandalwood cream
    W&B 7/8 barber notch wedge
TM practice strop(The 3 inch honey Horsehide comes out Later this week)
    Hot towel
    Lather
    hot towel
    lather
    3 passes and DE cleanup
Face is feeling good with a little irritation but the best straight shave I have had. Thanks to SRPAlmost BBS Just for S and giggles I managed to carve a nice one in my ear as well. Hope this does not ruin my freshly honed by Joe C edge.

Testing razors again w/ a couple of days' stubble

    Matt custom Super Silvertip ivory
    Trumper's Violet (someone on B&B had said "whore's handbag" - but I don't agree)
    Vintage Russia Shell Select
    DD Goldedge 6/8 rp
    FWE Leader 6/8+ sp
Wostenholm 5/8 sp, xtra long tail, shorter blade, top+bottom jimps
    Trumper's alum
    Trumper's CSF

Very good shave. A bit on the fast + careless side because I started too late. Still - no cuts, nicks, or burn. 2 of the 3 razors were solid. The third (Wostenholm) shaved OK, but I want better than that from it - it's too rare, good-looking, and convenient to shave only at that level.

    Cheers
    Ivo

    Poraso Pre/Post
    Shavemac 501
    TGQ Cavendish Black
    6/8 Clauss
    Aqua Velva Blue

First go ahead with the coticule....makes a world of difference. Polished with some slurry, then a few passes without slurry for some teeth. Shaves like a champ.

    Mon:

Same as yesterday. I was gonna use the TIPTLE, but about lap 25 on the dubl duck strop I felt this thumping in the razor. Turns out I flipped the edge onto the leather handle piece. The heel and toe are still sharp, but the middle needs to get back on the hone. So I switched to the 7/8 Friodur, and had a great shave.
