LOVELY SHAVE today. Quite cheap as well.

    shower,
    proraso pre
cheap czech shaving soap that I picked up on holiday
    selfmade brush
    outram strop
    6/8 cocobolo silversteel Worldmaster
    hot/cold water
homemade cologne "love tonic" combined with aloë vera for an aftershave.

I was surprised how well the soap performed. It was cheap, smelled cheap (like soap with nothing added) but worked very well. I think it's of the double/triple milled variety and for $1 that''s not a bad deal. Maybe I can add some oils for scent somehow later. For now it'll do me just fine.

what also surprises me every time is how nice the cologne/aftershave I made feels. I might never buy aftershave again...just make it myself.

Today was a cheap and experimental day.
No preshave, just tried this pink "Carib Carbolic" soap I got for a dollar. Highly anti-bacterial and antiseptic, doesn't sound like something you'd shave with, but I got a darned nice shave with it, my face felt excellent after.
    Proraso Omega Boar.
Used that Sanguine (Pakistani?) blade I got that, to my surprise, shaves well.
    No after shave.
It was a depresion-era shave indeed.
    Nice one, though.

    Wednesday

Sorry for the late post...been a long day...

    C&E Best Badger brush
    Col. Conk Bay Rum soap
W&B "Diamond Edge" 7/8 notch point
    TM # 2 Heirloom strop
Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum a/s

I might need a little more pasted strop work on the W&B. Not bad for a 122 year old razor, though.
