My 3rd shave with a straight razor.
The wife and I went to the C&E store. I was just planning on getting a tube of the shave cream. I got the sandalwood and the wife picked my up the $35 brush and stand.
I had been using the "Wal-Mart" soap and brush set and though it was ok.
When I started with the new brush and cream I could actually see the brush load up with cream. It was nice, I just need to figure out the combination of water and cream to use.
Here it is:
C&E Badger Brush
C&E Sandal Wood Cream
Joseph Allen & Sons 9/16 NON-XLL English Wedge Razor
Aqua Velva .. it's all I got .
BBS for the most part.... 2 bleeders, one caused by a nick.

Wednesday;
Bath and conditioner on 3 days growth
Proraso prepost cream
Taylors shaving shop cream
EJ best badger brush
Kaessar 5/8" spike, 3 passes
Thayers witch-hazel
TAGMSC goat milk balm
Trumpers coral skin food
Took my eye off the ball for a second and the Kaessar put me straight on that. My lack of concentration rewarded me with a little 1/4" bite into my left cheek,on the bone, but amazingly didn't bleed hardly at all. Not sure why, I guess it was because the blade was very sharp and sealed up fast after a quick lick with the styptic.
A great shave though, ultra smooth and very enjoyable.
