This blade was just sitting in the drawer waiting for some action some day. When this razor came in long ago I had big plans initially. New scales, nose-shape change, bling-bling shiny, etc. After reading a bit about the brand and realizing the age of this old one, I decided to treat it wabi-sabi style, as the Japanese say. There’s beauty in aging and so I left the worn horn scales as they were, did not polish a thing and simply honed her up. Rattler or faux-frameback, whatever you want to call it, a delightful shave she gave.
For the tang stamp fans:
The box says that she was bought at the Coiffeur L’AILLIÉ in Aunay sous Auneau, a small community south-west of Paris. Nice history.
