    Default SOTD birth year razor?

Felt a little older this morning than I usually do so I thought I'd use my new(old) razor whose age reflexes how I felt this AM.

Razor: 5/8 TIERCELIN STUB TAIL - circa 1795
Soap: OSP Lavender scented Shaving Soap
Dish: eBay find, looks like a deep hollow pig w/rough interior
Finish Spritz of Lemon Witch Hazel

Smooth as a baby's bottom and I now feel years younger.

out of curiosity I googled who was making straights the year I was born (96). Didn't find much (I am lazy googler) but apparently amazon claims gold dollar started making their straights in 1996 (not sure if it is true or not but I think it popped up because of one of their razors). Think I am going to have to pass on shaving with that one ha!

Looks like a few were made around my birth year. Not a lot. Hell, Even the russians were still making them. I need to find one of those. But to prove its date? Not like the marking on a gellette.

Feeling a little old this moring were ya. I feel that way at times too.
    It's just Sharpening, right?
