Switching it up a bit today.
I was on a Wade & Butcher kick for a few days. (Loved the silent and deadly-clean shave).
But today I want to “hear it” a bit.
Not hear it sing, but hear the muffled singing that a “bellied hollow grind” can give.
So step-in, Mr Koraat.
I’m still on the autumn/winter scents, so I chose PAA’s “Blue Samhain”. (A spicy burnt-sugary, complex, scent).
And being that it is a soft soap, I went with a synthetic brush.
The Blue Samhain splash is a super strong scent. So I trick I use for strong-scented splashes is to place enough UNSCENTED balm in my palm of my hand for my face and head. Then I place a little of the splash in the same palm, and mix it together. Then I rub it into my face and head.
Perfect conditioning, perfect scent strength.
Overall, an outstanding shave.
Whoooo-Weee...it’s starting-out as an incredible day.
Straight: Koraat 14-2.0 (custom shortened)
DE: Carbon Shaving CX-316L (head shave)
Lather: PAA “Blue Samhain”
Balm: Wholly Kaw “Bare Naked” (Unscented)
Splash: PAA “Blue Samhain”
Brush: WCS Beacon (synthetic)
Bowl: Captains Choice (large)
