RAZOR: Manhattan Cutlery French Point 13/16 (Mug), Gem G-Bar (Dome)
BLADE: Pella PTFE Gem
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: MrEE Blue Anodized Aluminum LE with 24mm SynBad Knot
CREAM: Nancy Boy Signature
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Nancy Boy Signature Scent AS Balm.

Outstanding shave this Saturday morning.

Used the sample soap I purchased, as well as the balm I recently ordered.

Both the same scent.

Love it. I think it’s in my top two scents.

I actually found someone selling the soap. So I ordered a tub, and am waiting for it to arrive. (It’s sold out everywhere. It’s a special 2021 February run).

The scent is pretty dark and elegant. I’m totally digging it “super mucho”.

Weird thing happened. I smelled the soap, shaved, then applied the balm.

But a few seconds after applying the balm, it struck me as smelling different. No sharp tobacco scent. More like vanilla.

So I told myself to compare it to the soap, as I know the soap smells exactly like “what I liked”.

Sho Nuff...the soap now smelled tobacco-less as well. Almost like vanilla as well.

But it was not.

The wifey actually confirmed that the scent was still a predominant tobacco base.

I guess my olfactory sense got filled with the tobacco scent, and stopped picking-up that scent.

Totally weird.

As the day progressed and I went outside and experienced life, my olfactory sense got cleared, and I could smell the tobacco again.

Very unique. That has never happened to me before.

Anyhoo...the face and head shave was great. Love B&M’s balms!!!

But I gotta admit, it was not as slick, creamy, and satiny-moist like Declaration Grooming’s soap-base formula. (I got totally won-over on their Milk Steak formula. Nothing else has even come close so far).

Great shave. Great scent. Great skin food.

Loving my Saturday.
