Originally, transparent light brown, acquired second-hand and after several uses on my part, a displeasure: Roughness appeared on the slat, which after cleaning returned, also appearing red rust. All of this is an unequivocal symptom of cell rot. There is no other solution than to remove the old handles and destroy them, and try to clean and polish the steel and iron very well to reuse it, and so has my craftsman friend Pablo Fuertes. Bottle green was the color of choice.
