I never used the Pro Guards. I avoided them thinking they would not be sufficient for my beard. I was pleasantly surprised. Got a really good shave. Plus, I did not nick or slice myself. I guess I just suck at using the Feather DX. I need some training wheels.

Today was one of my favorite shaves.

Love the dark and elegant scent of “Samhain”.

Southern Witchcrafts soaps are vegan. But I’d put them up there with the very best tallow formulas on the market.

As a matter of fact, their soap, “Incorporeal” is my UNSCENTED soap of choice. I always stay stocked-up on that soap, so I only purchase splashes or only balms…and not the entire (expensive) shaving sets.

If I decide I like the set a lot, THEN I’ll invest in purchasing the entire shave set.

And their splashes have witch hazel. So no ugly alcohol burn.

Anyhoo…just an outstanding shave and scent.

    Crazy beautiful shave.

Strutting out of the shave den like a Boss!!

    Straight: Ralf Aust 7/8”
DE: Carbon Shaving Cx-316L (head shave)
    Lather: Southern Witchcrafts “Samhain”
    Balm: Soap Commander “Integrity” (unscented)
    Splash: Southern Witchcrafts “Samhain”
    Brush: Wolf Whiskers (Shavemac Silvertip)
    Bowl: Captains Choice (Large)
