This razor has one of the thinnest hollow grinds I own. Sounds like scraping toast! I can’t seem to find much information on it, but it shaves my face famously…lol!

    Great shave this early morning.

Wifey was off, so I wanted to try something different that she enjoys as well.

    Pulled-out the trusty ole, “Druantia”.

It is a unique scent that intrigued the wifey when she read the scent profile…which was the reason for me purchasing it.

Once it arrived I liked it, but I was not flabbergasted by it. So I never pulled-out all the stops and got the matching soap as well. (Which is the reason I always have unscented soaps and balms on hand. So I don’t waste a bunch of money on a unknown scent soap/balm/splash set that I am not sure I will like…or not. I just purchase the splash if no samples are available).

But I enjoy it, and wear it for a change. (Scent notes are: Cedar, oakmoss, rosewood, cyprus).

Like I mentioned above, I paired it with an unscented soap and an unscented balm. (I NEVER mix scents)!

I used my custom Koraat for the shave.

    Overall outstanding shave.

Straights give me the cleanest, closest, most non-irritating shaves of any kind.

They even smash the shaves of a great DE razor shave.

As an example, my straight razors give me a cleaner, less irritated, face shave than my Carbon Shaving Cx-316L DE razor. (Which I use for my head).

But since I am not playing with shaving my noggin with a straight razor, I use a DE razor for that.

On top of that, shaving my head with a straight razor would be a slower process, which would lengthen my shave regimen to unacceptable times. (If I lived in the 1800’s, it’d be a different story).

Anyhoo…great shave, great scent, and wonderful skin food.

    Crushing Wednesday.

    Staright: Koraat 14-2.0 (custom shortened)
DE: Carbon Shaving Cx-316L (head shave)
    Lather: Southern Witchcrafts “Incorporeal” (unscented)
    Balm: Soap Commander “Integrity” (unscented)
    Splash: Southern Witchcrafts “Druantia”
    Brush: WCS Beacon (synthetic)
    Bowl: Captains Choice (large)
