Thanked: 7What a nice and pleasant shave this morning.
I wanted to try a different straight, so I went to the office and used the Hibbard, Spencer and Bartlett.
It was just recently honed, so is was a super smooth and effortless shave.
Like I’ve said a ga-bazillion times before, nothing gives me a closer and more comfortable shave than a straight razor.
I paired it with the best unscented soap on the market (Southern Witchcrafts, “Incorporeal”), and West Coast Shavings “The Soloist”.
The scent, “The Soloist” has grown on me.
Initially not my favorite tobacco scent. (It reminded me of smelling a smokers pocket that was sweet). But it is a pure tobacco scent (not pipe tobacco) that is subtle, and has these low undertones of something.
Not sure what that something is, but it smoothed out the tobacco…and the wifey likes that it is not strong. (Maybe a 3 or 4 out of 10 on scent strength).
Of course, an unscented balm was used.
Outstanding shave this morning. And like always, I don’t leave the sink area until it is a baby butt smooth shave.
And today the head and face were sticky clean!
Crushing Saturday.
