    Filarmonica No.13 Muleta
    Heirloom Razor Strop Co.
    Four sided Paddle strop with
    Diamond Paste and Chromium Oxide
3” Notovan Horsehide Premium Old No.2
    with Genuine Flax Linen
    Kanayama 30k
    TheCaYuenWorkshopLLC
    2-Band Badger “Abalone” brush
    Maggards sample of
Wholly Kaw of Merchant of Tobacco
    Stetson cooling moisture Aftershave
When I pulled out the Filarmonica upon taking an edge peek under the lights I noticed that there were several places along the edge that appeared tattered.
I thought well maybe this is the time I have to take this razor to a finishing stone.
    NAW!
I pulled out the Heirloom Razor Strop Co. four sided paddle strop which I put diamond paste and chrox on two of the sides back in 2009ish. I have since put more chrox (last year) but have never reapplied any more diamond paste. First I stropped the blade on the hard cloth of the Kanayama 30k for a while then proceeded to use the paddle strop. I pretty much quit counting years ago as I (pretty sure I’m gonna catch guff for this) go by the sound. When I felt it ready I cleaned the blade and went back to the Kanayama cloth and used it to remove some burrs on the edge them went back to the chrox then over to Tony’s Old No. 2 flax linen then the horsehide. Finished off on the Cordovan on the Kanayama.
    The edge is perfect.
The blade is so sharp and comfortable I never felt the edge.
    A Fantastic result.
The Wholly Kaw sample smelled more like candy than tobacco to my nose, but I’m not a tobacco aficionado. Wonderful scent and decent lather with I’m certain is a version of the base from the past.
    Nonetheless a great performer.
Using the soap samples allow me to go to some classic aftershave’s that are now collecting dust since I started using artisan soaps. And there is a very good reason this aftershave is still around as the Stetson AS does not disappoint.

    Beautiful blade Jerry.
Don’t think I ever saw a John Holler razor before.
    Very nice.

A dry shave? You're a better man than me, Jerry. That must be one sharp razor; even with a shave-ready blade, I've gotta use soap or cream, and a brush to spread it with. Props to ya, my friend.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

    Smart a$$!
I did use some MDC and Clubman afterward but didn't have the time this morning to take a proper pic. As a matter of fact, I never take a full proper picture. I'm lucky I point the camera in the right direction. LOL.
This pic was after I took it back downstairs and stropped it. It's sitting to dry when the pic was taken.

If my notes are right I had bought this one off of Magpie here @ SRP.
