Yesterday I found out that stropping is very important... did 25 laps on the pasted side of the paddlestrop and 50 laps on leather(is that enough?).. the shave was a lot better!
took a shower, (in the meanwhile let the bowl sit in steaming hot water)
lathered up,
wtg pass
rinse
lathered up again
xtg pass (and some ATG)
rinse with hot water
touchups
rinse with cold water
cold beer...
lather:verguldehand soap bar
Razor:Crown
Aftershave balm:Sanex

Strop Illinois #827 Russian
25 laps linen
50 laps leather
Steaming hot towel over the lather
Hot water rinse
Re-lather
WTG pass

Touch up on beard lines

I forgot how much I liked this little razor, I built this one way back out of some Antelope horns off a "Goat" I had taken in Eastern Colorado... This one will always be a special razor since those horns were from the longest shot I have ever made....
