Default American Steel Week Day #6

    Robeson's Best 6/8
Robeson Cutlery Co. ca 1895-1899, Camillus, New York

A little bit of interesting history I stumbled upon researching this razor tonight - Robesons can apparently be dated to certain periods of the company's history by the stampings on the tang. This particular razor, stamped "Robeson Cutlery Co." and "Premier" underneath, was an early Robeson, produced in the first few years of the company, ca 1895-1899, in the original location in Camillus, NY, before the factory was moved to Perry, then Rochester, NY. Very cool. These razors CAN talk!

LOL. This was not planned . I've just been learning about these razors right before I post my SOTD, and I must say it has been a very interesting week!

OK, you call the next theme.

what's up with extending the American blade SOTD by one day? I can only post one pic because i only have one U.S. blade. i was looking forward to tommorrows pics but that's scre*&. what's the idea?.... uhhh that's coercion and i'll take you to court.

Unless Her Majesties court is next and then i'm still scre&* cause i jut have one.

My pick is b pave triple 7's beautiful Zowada damascus. so super elegant.

    cheers, m.a.d

I have to admit to that mistake in the title. I initially posted Feb 1 - 6 (6days) but the SOTD traditionally change/starts on Sunday and lasts for 7 days. When I realized the error today, I asked Glen to correct it.

Like I mentioned at the start, feel free to shave with whatever razor you like. This is by no means exclusionary. The purpose was just to try to sort of revitalize the SOTD, and maybe make things more interesting.
