Today was a test shave day, clash of the titans style.

On the left is a "True IXL" Wostenholm wedge with a maximum width of just under 8/8. On the right is a Wade & Butcher wedge measuring in at just under 7/8 at the widest point. (My dual purpose Colibri lighter is serving as the referee.)

Both honed up on a King 1K, BBW/Coticule progression which ended on my TM strop.

To make the playing conditions equally challenging, I went with no shave prep at all. Each blade got one side of the face with a fresh coat of room temperature Proraso. I was hoping to pick one of the two to keep, but they both gave mighty fine shaves.
