SOTD... Sun Mar. 1st - Sat Mar. 7th (Themes Welcome)
We thought it might be fun to do another themed week of SOTD, one that everyone can join, yes, even *cough* DE shavers.
And that is because it has nothing to do with what you used to shave that day.
The idea is to post your pic, but with something extra, something added in the photo, even just in the background, a little something about yourself that you want to tell us about, like a hobby, or what you do, or your favorite cup of joe. Anything, either just by the photo, or you can a few words.
Photos of razors and cream and soap and brushes and aftershave are good, we just thought it might be interesting to try to spice it up a little, make it more personal.
Of course, feel free to post a traditional photo if you wish. This is purely voluntary.
So, get started thinking... this is for the SOTD kicking off Sunday.Last edited by gssixgun; 03-01-2009 at 02:13 PM.

I love this idea. Thanks Ray. It'll be great to get a little more insight to what peoples other interests are.

Thanked: 1903Don't mention the war...
Tough one, Ray. Does the backdrop count? It's the silk lining of my favourite bespoke Chesterfield coat (light grey Cashmere with black velvet collar, and lapels). Just in case you are wondering why anyone would wear such things, the wife and I like classic clothing with a twist (cf. the backdrop of the Hans in this post, that's the lining of my wife's black cashmere military coat (looks somewhat like this one)). Living in Berlin is somewhat of a challenge with respect to clothing, as Berlin is famous, or, rather, infamous, for its outrageously bad taste in clothing. Bit of a shame, as Germany was once famous for its fashion, but there is still hope. Just don't mention the war...
Any road:
- Dovo Bergischer Löwe (aka Begrisher Lowe or worse)
- Simpson brush (currently shedding its winter fur, the little bugger - any recommendations for a high quality brush with reasonably stiff bristles?)
- AOS lavender pre shave oil
- CF lavender cream
- CF lavender after shave

One of my other hobbies, though a little more expensive and space demanding!!
On my "Theatre" stands:
Palmolive classic shaving cream (For the price, it's bloody good!)
Custom made 20mm silvertip
Clover brand Hollow ground in PC scales
Osma alum block
Ogallala Bay rum & Sandalwood AS
Oh dear, just realized that I was a little bit ahead of me time.....well, then this is the shave I will have on the 1/3-2008!!!!Last edited by cako72; 02-28-2009 at 05:37 PM.

What day is it...Saturday? In a whirlwind, just trying to get the Little Man out the door for his first hair cut. Grabbed my Wapi to check on the edge and lathered with TGQ Leatherneck as usual. That was only 9 ours ago, but I'm so BBS. What a great razor.
Here he is before and after;
X
