    Default every year, baby

Since I married my wife (who is probably the most fanatic in a family full of Disney/Disneyland nuts) I've become rather a fan myself. Well talk about my surprise when I was walking down Main Street on our trip last year and saw this mug in a window display. Needless to say, I had to have one.

Razor is a pre-1897 George Wostenholm & Sons IXL, 7/8 full wedge. First shave with it after grabbing it off ebay and honing it up. All I can say is "dang". I like that heavy wedge. So there's my first feeble attempt at the "themed" week. I'm a newly converted fan of Disneyland and heavy Sheffield wedges both.

    Good Sunday all...

    Dovo Shavette/'66 Adjustable w/Dorco 301(Day 1)
    C&E BBB
    Erasmic Shave Cream
    Thayers Original WH
Three Crowns Indian Sandalwood AS milk
    G.F.Trumper Eau de Quinine (sample)

Second attempt at the Shavette went much better despite a two day growth (which isn't saying much). I took more time and thought about angles and felt my way through the first pass uneventfully. (I did miss a spot on my chin...) Went to the adjustable for the second and third passes as it was a pick-up I made early this morning at a weekly antique/flea market. It cleaned up very nicely and after starting out at No. 1 I switched to No. 3 for the remainder of the shave. Great results all around. Have a great day.

SOTD is my trusty, somewhat rusty Dovo Best Quality. My fav.
