Thank you sir.. So you were bidding on it too? The case looked much better than in the pictures and the razors were in very good condition. It was a gamble, but since the seller didn't seem to know what he was selling, I took the chance. I am very happy that I did.
I should add - The case was not a Brookes & Crookes case. It was a Mappin & Webb case. Still. A great purchase.Last edited by MisterA; 11-08-2009 at 11:20 PM.

3 passes bbs, decided to forego the aftershave, although I received a shipment of Ogallala Bay Rum yesterday. The Cavendish Black just smelled too good to cover it up with anything else.Last edited by freebird; 11-09-2009 at 06:43 AM.

Thanked: 116This morning:
Prep: hot shower, olive oil dab
Brush: Gibbs 210
Soap: C&E Sandalwood
Razor: B Winks & Sons Warranted Razor
After: Alum block and Nivea AS balm
Sorry about the bad picture quality
EDIT:
So this was a double first
First shave with Sheffield steel and first shave with a wedge... I liked it very much even tho the silence was sort of deafening. It is amusing as I had never conscientiously noticed the shaving sound until this absence of sound. At first I even thought the razor wasn't shaving but just gliding on top of the stubble.Last edited by MichaelP; 11-09-2009 at 08:44 AM.
