    Default SOTD 14/03/10

    Location: Taipei, Taiwan
    Time/Date: Sunday 14/03/10 – 1530
    Brush: Trumpers Badger Ivory Handle
    Soap: Knize Ten
    Razor: Heljestrand Faux Frameback 1867
    Aftershave: Trumpers Sandalwood Skinfood
    Results BBS

This razor is unbelievable. I’ve never tried a frameback before and was skeptical as to how it would perform but this is hands down the best razor I have which (to be fair is not that many) delivers the smoothest shave without any effort. I am a very happy chappy and still quite spellbound by this blade. I’m getting rid of all the others I have and am on the hunt for Swedish steel! I too really enjoy this thread, thank you max! Did you have sushi (chopsticks beneath your kamisori) before your midnight shave?

Cool Sunday morning shave-The Wacker again.

Prep: Hot shower + Proraso preshave cream. Three passes WAX pattern finishing with a cold water face rinse.
Razor prep: I enjoyed the first shave with the Wacker though it was pulling a bit. I pyramid honed it starting with the 8K Naniwa for ten laps and finishing with twenty laps on the 10K. No more pulling and a remarkable improvement in sharpness.
    Razor: Wacker 6/8 Spanish point.
SC: T&H Grafton. Boy, I love this silky and elegant cream.
    Brush: SRD silver tip #3
    Astringent: Thayers Lemon
    AS:Italian Floid.
Results: BBS - Have a good Sunday gents-Shave On. HOG.
    Drink: Espresso.

Background photo: Children riding a Harley Davidson 1916 Model J6 with sidecar and lighting system. Early V twin, capacity in cc: 989. Three gears, final drive: encased chain. Ignition: magneto. Boy, I wish I had one in the garage!

    Oh, GORGEOUS!!

Did those scales come with the razor, or are they your work? Because, for a razor branded "Phoenix", those are the perfect scales for it... Very fiery, and just beautiful!

    Cheers,
    Jeremy
