Oh, hot damn Leon, I just purchased a Semogue 2000 from VintageScent -with a 1305 to follow soon- Wanted to find someoen who had one to give me an opinion on them... I know I like boar, and I am ready to break it in, as long as that may take... I was just wondering, in your experience, how long does the break in take, and how much backbone does it retain post-breakin?

Sweet Filarmonica by the way, it's a beaut!

Otto, how do you feel about your Livi's? Are they worth the money? Is it a better shave than your other blades? I am considering taking the plunge...

I LOVE my Livis. I'm thinking of buying another one.

All the blades in my rotation are outstanding, even my $5 Berg, if not I would have given them away to someone whom collects knives. I've done that a few times....

It is your money you are talking about, so you have to decide for yourself. For me it is more than just a shave.

The 2000 has a long but dense loft (60+ mm). It will maintain a great backbone, not as great as the LE 09, but close enough.
As for the breaking-in period, I honestly can't remember, I have this brush for some years now.

Excellent, my only boar (until the 2000 arrives) is an Omega 11137, and I really like the boar feeling...

Also, Do you know when the LE '10s will come out? I missed out on the 09 run

    Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Jeremy
