    Default Saturday Morning

Prep: Hot shower--followed by Robeson bay rum beard prep
Brush: Rooney Style 3 Size 2 (Medium) “faux Ebony”
    SS/SC: Tabac “Original”
Strop: VB Red Latigo - 50 fabric; 75 leather
    Razor: 6/8” Wacker “Old Sheffield”
    Astringent: Alum block
ASB: Nivea for Men “Extreme Comfort”
    Cologne: Dominica Bay Rum
    Result: BBS

The Rooney is the newest addition to my brush collection. It lathered ok, but still needs to be broken in. I've had the Wacker in my possession for sometime, but was reluctant to use it after my first shave with it, which was disappointing. I stropped it on my new SRD paddle strop--10-15 on the hard felt w/ a light application of diamond spray and 10-15 strokes on the rough leather before moving to my daily Red Latigo strop. Wow! It worked like a charm. After today, this Wacker is a regular part of my str8 razor rotation.

    Default Saturday Morning !!

OMFG what is that bright Yellow thing in the sky???

Haven't seen the sun in so long I forgot what it looked like

So I must confess haven't been in the shop much this week in fact was slacking when it came to the razors... Yeah yeah don't worry if you have some here I be back after them on Monday
The wife and I bought two new Quads this week so I was working/playing on them instead...

The good news was is I had time for my own razors this week and got to do quite a few SOTD's

Lathered up this morning with a new soap that I have been want to try since I got it awhile back (had to use up another) this is Tahitian Amber Tallow from Prairie Creations. really gave a nice thick creamy lather after I whipped some up with the MonsterMac 28mm Silvertip..
I took out the TI this morning, This is their 7/8-6/8 Scalloped back, now this one is made from an old forging as the advertising goes... I had to wrap it in my own Molten Metal acrylic scales as the factory ones bit...
These edges are freaky smooth and the shave was close and comfortable after one multi directional pass... Since it was so good I pushed it a bit and did a clear water pass and now have BBS (that's me stroking my face hehehe)
Followed it up with some Pinaud's Classic Vanilla AS and I am off to work..

    A Great Saturday Morning Shave!

    Hot Shower
    Glycerin Pre-shave
    Frederick Reynolds Chopper
    Arko Shavestick
    Omega Boar
    Mentholated Witch Hazel
    Florida Water Cologne

As expected, fresh off last night's touch up hone, this razor was a beast and mowed down my stubble with impunity. I could have stopped at one pass and been fine, but I was having so much fun I did a South-North pass for sheer entertainment value.
The older I get, the better I was
