Thanked: 13249Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow !!!!
Ahhhhh a beautiful Springtime day for Easter Sunday here in N Idaho, as it snows...
I was feeling a bit like Spring time this morning as I used my newest razor, a Nichiri Co ltd, King Pelican #14... This razor came to me from a friend in Japan with the matching strop (I will be doing reviews on both ) I decided that it was finally time for a Lime rush...
The oh sooooo creamy Uberlather is a mix of Classic Lime Soap and Castle Forbes Lime cream plus 5 drops of Glycerin, vigorously whipped and applied with my Monster Shavemac 28mm Silvertip...
After two steaming hot towels, while this cool whip lather was sitting I stropped up the Kamisori style blade on the Nichiri Pelican strop the linen/canvas on this is incredible, the leather is good, but 50/100 laps later I was ready... One more steaming towel out of the microwave in the shave den, applied over the first coating of lather, this is the "creme de la creme" of the shave it softens the whiskers so good...
Another generous helping of lather and the King Pelican Razor goes to work, several with the grain strokes, and time to rinse again with some hot water.. I re-apply a thick coat of lather and finish up my second pass with a mixed bevy of against the grain and across the grain strokes... A hot water rinse followed by some edging with plain water and the shaving part is done, a quick splash of hot water and a alum bar wipe down lets the skin condition while I clean up the shave stuff...
An ice cold water rinse, and a cold towel, followed by the West Indian lime scent of the Pussers Lime splash brings the shave to a close, and a beginning to Easter Sunday !!!
Happy Easter !!!Last edited by gssixgun; 04-04-2010 at 02:13 PM.
