    Dear friends,

I am not straight shaving jet but I am getting to learn some interesting skills and facts about shaving and today it contributed to having the best shave ever.

I started by soaking my boar bristol brush in steaming hot watter for about 20 minutes. After that I started making my lather, I took my vergulde hand soap and with an almost dry brush started working it up. Every once in a while I would scrape of the build up soap in a little cup until I had the desired amount. Than I started adding watter a bit at time until I had a nice foamy lather which could be stretched between thumb and index finger for about 1".

Then I decided it was time to have a nice close look at me beard. What I found out was astounding to me. The hair on chin and neck doesn't grow vertically, it grows horizontally. So I decided to shave in horizontal strokes instead of the usual vertical once.

Smooth as a baby's butt. I'm telling you. NO RAZOR BURN. basically the smoothes and nices shave since a LONG time.

Then I took my alum block and to my surprise no stinging! After that a little nivea balm et voila. Best shave ever (for a newbie atleast)

Another outstanding photo as usual B & T, great backgrounds and composition in your shots!
I know what you mean about the Wedges'; I used a Wedge the past two days (my Tiger and the beautiful Greaves that I talked MrDavid out of, lol) and they are exceptional shavers. Not all the noise and drama inherent in the hollow grinds, just smooth and effective stubble removal.

    Default Wednesday Shave

Last night i received a razor that i won off of ebay a week or so ago.

I got a Friodur 5/8 the condition was not bad, needed some cleaning up and the pins/ scales seem a bit off. I tried to tap the pins with a hammer to tighten them up but i was afraid to ruin it so im gonna send it away to get fixed up.

I did spend time with it on my coticule and put it to the shave test today The set up was:

    Friodur 5/8
    Truefitt and Hill Soap
    Omega 05 Brush
    Very Sexy For Him aftershave

The shave was great! Not as close as my other razors but then again im no honing master but it still shaved like a dream!

Had my other Friodur as a back up just in case this just didnt cut it (lol pun intended!)

White Razor is the new one, And black is my old friend.
