Well, I got the rust bucket cleaned up enough to shave with. I decided to try it honed with the Arkies...I think I will stick with the glass stones, but it got the job done.

    What a Shave!

    Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
    Shaving Soap: C&E Sienna
Shaving Cream: Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Unscented
Razor: Tim Zowada 8/8 Damascus Blade w/ Carbon Fiber Scales by Alex Jacques
    Brush: shavemac best badger

Wow, what a ride! This was my first experience with a blade wider than 5/8". I love the way the wide blade handled. The added width also kept my hands and the hinge of the razor out of the lather in my goatee. Maybe it's the "heft" of this razor, but this baby felt steadier in my hand than other razors.

Great razor Tim, beautiful scales Alex! Special thanks go to my gracious friend for loaning this incredible work of art to me!
