A great shave, the 1st time in a while that I've been able to take some proper time out for myself, and the 1st time this week of having a straight shave following a rough DE shave at the beginning of the week.

Its about my 15th straight shave and yet again progress has been made. I wonder if I was stretching my skin a bit much previously as less seemed to be more today. Confidence, consistency of blade angle and coordination improved today and while it was far from as close as I get with a DE its moving in the right direction.

Clean up was with my Edwin Jagger and I used one of these acclaimed Gillette Super Thin blades for the 1st time. Initial thoughts are that I can see why they have so many fans

I've only attempted a super lather a couple of times and its the 1st time I've tried this combination, it was a great success and one I shall use again.

The omega cream gives a nice cooling effect on what's shaping up to be a hot and humid day... The Osage Rub adds to, and magnifies the cooling effect..

Wintchase... I'm very sorry to read of your Uncle's illness... He sounds like an uncommon man. The kind they just don't make anymore. I pray for a peaceful passing... Very sorry.

Got a call from my daughter and a text from my son (so typical) before the shave so the day was a good one no matter what...had a great lather with MWF (lukewarm water...soaked the brush and soap together...it worked great) and had two good passes with the C&S...a decent shave, but not as good as yesterday's, but that's OK...it's a good day already.

Great shave today with good ol'e Brand X! The Ogallala and Pinaud combined to whisk me away to the Caribbean and enjoy the fragrances of Bay Rum and Cloves. I only hope the rest of the day will be this relaxing! Happy Father's Day to all the Dads!
