Tuesday morning
Pre: Cold shower
Razor: Henckels
Brush: Custom 24 mm two banded finest
Soap: Tabac
ASB: Davidoff
AS: Alcolado Glacial
Strop: Neil Miller linnen/buffallo 40/50
Result:
Very nice shave today, 2 1/2 passes. This strop is _really_ nice, it was very good from day one, but it keeps getting better and better and my other strops seems to get more and more crapy . I had oiled the razors a couple of weeks ago and today was the first go with this one, one of the few I´ve bought new and when I cleaned the oil away from the scales the logo was smudged . Very nice edge though, thanks to Neil!Last edited by Mikael; 07-13-2010 at 09:10 AM.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:
1964 Macys badger
1958 Executive/SharpEdge
AOS lemon SC
Lumene AS balm
UngaroII EdT(1992 vintage)
In the past I've used this blade many times, and always with excellent results. It's quite similar the the Iridium(a favorite of mine), with the same sharp yet forgiving feel to it. I could easily use this blade every day.
The Ungaro is pretty interesting juice, with civet being one of the predominant notes. This bottle was a lucky estate sale find, since it's been out of production for a while now.
BBS results,
Martin

Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 “Super Badger” New!
SS/SC: MWF + Ingram = Superlather
Strop: VB Red Latigo--55 fabric; 60 leather
Razor: 5/8 Dovo “Red Solingen”
Astringent: Thayers Original Witch Hazel
ASB: Zirh “Soothe”
AS: Dominica Bay Rum
Result: BBS…Repeat, BBS…The whole world marvels…
This is my first time using MWF. It is everything that SRP members say about it. An outstanding shaving soap. Nice scent and great slip. Combined with my new Simpsons Chubby 2 and Ingram SC, the MWF created a great superlather and resulted in a really close, comfortable and smooth shave."Age is an issue of mind over matter.
