    Default Saturday morning

    Pre: Shower
Razor: Revisor and Merkur 26c (for head)
    Brush: Ikon 24 mm silvertip
    Soap/Cream: Omega/Top Secret
    Post: Prosraso
    AS: Alcolado Glacial
    Result: Mr Clean
Tons of super lather today. I did some laps on balsa and then a lot of laps on two different leather strops and the Revisor showed her best result so far. Actually I should send her off for honing, but I like her so much that I don´t want to send her away, lol. Have a good day today All! Only free day this week and a lazy shave it was

I like the "vintage" look of this shot ...especially the bowl (of all things). Looks like it's from the 1930s or something.

Beautiful Revisor Mikael . I am in the market for a similar (not this big) but a tad smaller (6/8-ish). Did you get yours from Thomas @ Revisor-Solingen?

By the way, you gotta love "lazy" shaves...it reflects ones mood perfectly

    Cool water splash
    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Semogue SOC HyperBoar
    Weyersberg Corneta 078½
    Tony Miller Artisan ... 40 Linen/ 80 Latigo
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea AS Balm Sensitive
Pinaud's Lilac Vegetal ... The Veg

"Love will cut you like a knife..." Not a straight razor, but a knife... Although both can cut pretty deeply.

Here's a tune that takes me back more than forty years, and evokes fond memories of the first girl I fell in love with... After all this time, I still recall her often, and still wonder if i miss her or not...

Turn up your speakers, and hear a much younger Roger Daltry growl "You Better..."

Thumbs up Week of August 8 SOTD - Saturday

Pre-Shave: Hot shower + Stephan's Conditioning Smooth Shave Creme
Razor: 7/8" Le Grelot 14 "Hospital", Round Point
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Überlather: Al Raz Da Bomb Custom Shave Creme (scent: cloves + orange + a hint of cinnamon, formulation: dense)
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Post-shave: NancyBoy Replenishing AS
    Cologne: Penhaligon Opus 1870
    Facial Moisturizer: Trumper's Facial Moisturizer
Result: Great start to the day. Went for a nice ~6 mile hike/run (see pictures below), met up with the wild life (a Lynx (I think it was from behind) wild cat and a couple of deer) on the trail (sorry not in picture...ran away by the time I was ready to take my camera phone out). After a nice hot shower, got ready for my shave using Al's shave creme (3rd try...EXCELLENT lather, as always. I found the sweet spot for this baby) and my recently acquired Le Grelot "Hospital" (purchased from "wrl", who had it rescaled by Max in butterscotch linen micarta ). This truly is a magnificent blade. Shaving with it was nothing short of awesome. Clean as a whistle . I could even compete in any BBS competition with any baby and probably even win . Now, I am ready for my nephews' birthday (I am sure there will be wrestling involved).

    Hi Bill,
Absolutely, right on the money. besides, it's a nice cardio too ...after that enjoying a glass of milk with some black currant, dark chocolate, is a real treat that hits the spot...I really enjoy the peace and serenity, away from a hustle and bustle of our daily routines...It keeps me grounded and connected with what is real.

First shave with the EAB from "Bassguy." Smooth and comfortable with only one pass.

Post shave I cracked open this Dogfish Head Theobroma. It is brewed with honey, cocoa nibs, cocoa powder, ancho chilies and ground annatto. It is very flavorful and unique, but at 9% and with all these flavors, it is a one and done ale.
