    Shave Cream: Proraso
    Lather Bowl: Ceramic
    DScuttle: RAB Ceramic
    Brush: Semogue Boar 1460
    ASB: Nivea Replenishing
    Aftershave: Mennen Original Skin Bracer

Results: Great shave, close and comfortable.

Stropped this Loeffler & Sykes that I honed a few days ago on some pasted strops. 20 passes on .1 micron Hematite and 20 passes on .05 micron CrOx. Then 20 passes on the SRD Premium 1. I did notice the edge seemed to "bite" when I check it with my thumb. It felt like the edge was a lot sharper than it was before the pasted strops. The shave was great and I surely didn't diminish the edge but it didn't have a noticeably outstanding difference either. It may be that it's been a few days since I used this razor and I don't recall exactly the "feel" to compare adequately. I have only used this razor once before as well and so the unfamiliarity factor may be entering in here. At any rate, the shave was very close and comfortable and my pasted strop skills needs to be further examined. Learning is a daily process and time will tell.
    Bruce...great gear buddy .

Are you sure it's 0.1µ and 0.05µ?? That awfully tiny particles man...perhaps you meant 1µ and 0.5µ?

Yep, you're right Robert! I didn't write it correctly. (I get confused on these metric measurements stuff!) lol I meant, ONE micron Heme. & one half Micron CrOx. I hope that's right! (?)

Ain't that the truth about hurricanes - Majority of them are still named after women...regardless of PC-ness, it is something that rings true .

I hope things cool off a bit. I forgot to look at your shave gear...I was fixated on the photo...see what you have us do. You are distracting us from the true theme of this SOTD

There it is...nice looking gear buddy. How do you like your Premium I...I have a IV and love it but have been considering a I...they say is way softer.
    Thanks for the compliments Robert..

I was a good bit younger in that photo... I haven't aged well!

My son has been married (Thank the Good Lord) for about 5 years, and the picture recently posted of my Granddaughter Moira May, is his baby.. It's comforting to have both kids settled down!

About the Premium I... I can't say enough good things about it! I love it! It has turned the stropping ritual into a real pleasure... But, the one other strop I want to try is a Premium IV, Bridle Leather, and possibly the new Horsehide.

Originally I looked at a strop as a purely utilitarian piece.... Now I want to try 'em all!!

No worries my friend! I'm new at this pasted stropping stuff and I'm just finding my way. Those blasted metrics get me all the time! lol
