    Default THe Mission, Pt.2

Razor: Wade & Butcher (i don't know anything else about it, please let me know if you do.)
    Cream: Trumpers Limes
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Balm: Trumpers Skin Food
Result: Todays Mission was a different one: A wedge, with a slight smile. Both are things i have never really honed before (successfully anyway) but today i woke up really early and the W&B was just sitting there screaming at me to get it sharp enough to shave with. And shave it did! An amazing shave, and a huge step forward in my honing and shaving technique. Today was one of the most rewarding mornings i've ever had, and judging by the kit used an "all english" shave.
    Happy Shaving Everyone

Mine is also my "shave inspector". While I'm putting on my shoes, she carefully feels my face and is sure to let me know if I'm not BBS anywhere. It's hard to slip anything by her "expert" hands"

Six years old going on sixteen...

It was a great deal too!! Think I paid something like $75 for it. Yes, Glen did an outstanding job!! I have two other razors that he did; the 5/8 Blue Bell and my 6/8 Heljestrand.

The photo in the background if from my daughter's wedding day... I don't recall the year, but I still had a few dark hairs here and there, so i assume about fifteen years ago.
That's me on the left with my daughter next to me, my wife in blue on the right and my son kneeling.
Today's shave was great. The KB nailed it as usual. As for The Baron AS??? I don't remember where it came from, but I could not imagine a Baron wearing this stuff! Ahh well, I've smelled worse!
It's another hot and extremely humid day awaiting a brush by Hurricane Earl, and I hope it cools a bit once he leaves. Years ago, hurricanes were always named after women, for obvious reasons, but now in a PC World, they alternate..

When the heat starts to lay me low, I look for snowy pictures to cool off, so the second is a refreshing mid winter shot of our camp in the Central Adirondacks... I love snow, and I find it helps!

    Bill,
That is a beautiful family you have there. You know, you are a pretty darn good looking fellow too...and all this time, you had us believe that you were a "Shrek" . When is your son going to get hitched? he looks like he's ready .

Ain't that the truth about hurricanes - Majority of them are still named after women...regardless of PC-ness, it is something that rings true .

I hope things cool off a bit. I forgot to look at your shave gear...I was fixated on the photo...see what you have us do. You are distracting us from the true theme of this SOTD

There it is...nice looking gear buddy. How do you like your Premium I...I have a IV and love it but have been considering a I...they say is way softer.

Hmmm.... I may have been straight razor shaving for a good 5 years now, but my honing skills are... rusty... to say the least. I have a Norton 4k/8k and some Belgian cotticules. The rest is all pasted strops, which I use most often now.

I think everybody has his own experiences with different stones.
... and get the same result.
I got this razor shave-ready and the 3 months I have it, I only use a good strop.
