I recently picked one up just like yours (except mine is missing the C'Mon inlay/lettering on the scale) on eBay (my first Bay purchase of str8) for $46...It needed a little polishing, but after a little MAAS, that thing came out as beautiful as ever. Gave it a little spin on the Naniwa 1k, and Coticule with slurry (dilucot method), followed by 12k Naniwa and some TLC by the Escher, the edge pops hair like no ones business...One of these days, I will use it for an SOTD

Here's what mine looks like (pict from the Bay, before polish):

Yep, I was watching that one too! I let the time slip and missed it....I glad you got it and not someone who will hang it on a wall and not use it! Enjoy!

Smile Week of August 29 SOTD - Monday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower + Lemon
    Pre-Shave Oil: Truffit & Hill
Razors: 6/8" Thiers-Issard Eagle Brand, Hollow, Spanish Point
    Brush: 24mm Thäter Silvertip Badger
Überlather: AOS Lavender Shave Creme + Mama Bear's Victorian Violets Shave Soap + Glycerin
Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
Post Shave: Trumper's Sandalwood Skin Food
    Facial Moisturizer: Trumper's Facial Moisturizer
    Cologne: Penhaligon Racquets
Result: You know you can count of the Thiers when it cuts through a 2-day growth like a lawnmower on steroids. Boy, was this thing sharp and smooth. Yesterday, after meeting up with David and Matt, I decided to refresh the edge on this baby using a coti, followed by a Y/G Escher. 3 passes later, nice and smooth BBS shave to kick start Monday . And of course the Thäter was a joy to work up a lather.

Have a wonderful Monday gentlemen .

I do miss the theme week. So in honor of it, here's a shot (iPhone camera, Photoshop stitching of panorama) of "Bridleview winery" - one of the wineries we visited during our "wine tasting" Saturday trip to the Santa Ynez valley:

Chris, glad to see you're amongst the living. We missed you and I started to get worried but you're back! Always a pleasure to see your SOTD's.

Beautiful Scheon Burg Chris . Bill is right on the money...this blade is a perfect match with that brush.

Is that a 776 or 775? can't make it out. How do you like the shave it gives? I just picked one up from B&B (a 775).

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
