PREP: Hot shower with face scrub
RAZOR: Muhle R89
BRUSH: PJ3
SOAP: Uberlather with Tabac soap and Irish Moos Cream
ASTRINGENT: Lucido Aftershave
ASB: Skinfood
EDC: Tabac
RESULTS: DELIGHTFULLY GRAND SHAVE!!!
Great shave today. First day off in 9 days so it feels good to wake up and enjoy a shave. Broke out the DE today and it was a great choice, nice 2 pass and I am smooth. This uberlather is amazing stuff , like Tabac soap and cream uber, this stuff is the same except the smell of Irish Moos is a little more masculine, and I love it. Thanks to David for getting me into Lucido products I love this aftershave which I use in place of my usual Thayers WH, and look forward to buying the whole Lucido line( and hopefully a Japenese straight soon )
GREAT SHAVES THIS WEEK BY EVERYONE! HAVE AGREAT FRIDAY!!!!!!!

Week of November 14 SOTD - Thursday
A Coticule Shave
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Razor: 11/16" C-Mon HF, Hollow, Spike Point Brush: 22mm New Forest Silvertip Badger Überlather: Trumper's Violet Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer Cologne: 1967 Guerlain Habit Rouge Result: Last night, in my continuing experimentation with edges, I honed my C-Mon with my "unknown quarry" Coticule bout. This was to experience the shave I get from this stone in comparison to the JNat. You're familiar with the thread, but you can read about the details of last night's honing experiment HERE. The "Coticulized" (that's my new word for the day ) C-Mon delivered a wonderful shave, but I prefer the edge I get from a JNat. The überlather today was as wonderful as ever and I love the scent of violet ...it subdues the soapy scent of MWF and complements its moisturizing properties. Quite a dynamic pair these two, I must say.

Holy Cow, it's TGIF already ?? Time flies. Awesome SOTDs...but they are doing a number on my AD. Have a great Friday.

Okay, there you going again fueling my HAD!! I've been working day and night trying to refine my edges on my new coticule and you have to rub it in my face that you like the JNat edge better!
Just kidding buddy...I love reading about your experimentation. It inspires me. ...and great SOTD!

Robert,
That's a fine-looking blade you have there.
I need to talk with you sometime after I get my Naniwas to discuss honing technique(s)."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
