I love that Le Grelot Bill and what a way to take her for a spin with the SRD Rose. great choice

    (1) Ain't that the truth? it is amazing. You probably saw Max' new toys too.
    (2) You keep spreading rumors like that, he's going to start believing that it's true . Hmmmmm ....Too bad Vivi doesn't do restorations . She is a hoot. I love that dog.

In all seriousness, Max and wife (and Vivi) are a very good team and a wonderful and genuine couple. Even if there was no restorations, straight shaving etc, I consider myself lucky to know them...my wife feels the same. This is what makes this forum (and SRP in general) so much more interesting, at a personal level. I have been truly lucky to make some good friends some of which I have come to meet and know. Some I have not met yet (but always chat and email with) and would love to meet one day.

Post Week of November 14 SOTD - Saturday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 8/8" Dorko Solingen, Hollow, Round Point (Thank you Rene )
Brush: 22mm New Forest Silvertip Badger
Überlather: D.R. Harris Lavender Shave Creme + D.R. Harris Lavender Shave Soap + Glycerin
Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
Moisturizer: D.R. Harris After Shave Milk
After Shave Splash: D.R. Harris Marlborough AS
Result: I got my new NOS Dorko from Rene (aka, Nicknbleeding) yesterday and took her to the hones (Nani 1k, Coti, JNat) and she took on an amazingly sharp and smooth edge. The überlather from D.R. Harris lavender combo was divine (the scent seemed to be fitting on this rainy day in SoCal); super moist, thick and lots (and I mean lots) of cushion. A little went a very long way...I had enough left for (literally) 3 more passes. Man, this stuff is going to last me a very long time. The Dorko delivered an "out of this world" BBS and smooth shave . Thank you Rene for this wonderful blade. She's found a good home. Since I started with D.R. Harris, might as well go the whole nine yards...I finished the shave with D.R Harris milk + aftershave.

You've hit the nail on the head. This forum is about much more than just shaving; it's about making a lasting connection through a shared experience. The friendship is by far the best part of it all!

    • Brush: Vulfix "Grosvernor" Mixed B/B
    • Razor: Shumate "Barber Deluxe" | Gillette Slim Adj / Astra SP
    • Cream: Natyr Bio Shaving Cream Ramallah soap
    • AS: Natyr Bio AS Balm Aloe Vera

Today I went BIO & Supportive with "Altromercato" products: a Glycerin + Aloe based cream and an alcohol free aloe based AS.

Outside is all gray and raining...I've just taken tea...thus the homage to this "Londonesque" weather.

Nice snag on the Dorko, Robert. You saved me from overspending even more than I already have

    Back in Germany.
From 84 F in Miami to 40 F in Germany.

But I got a very nice vintage Fili 14 in the meantime from a wellknown member of the SOTD

You know I love also my Wade & Butcher.
And this was the first shave:

    soap: Proraso
    brush: Muehle Silvertip
    razor: W&B
    AS: Brut

I missed my W&B in FL.

    Nice pics today, friends!

Thanks Ehsan . it is a great shaver. At a hefty 8/8, it's bigger than what I am used to, but I do love it. It handles great. Are you back in NJ or still in CA?

    Tom,
Great to hear that you made it back home safe and sound. Man and his W&B reunite.

PS: I miss your pictorial stories from your vacation .
