Phil does provide great service. I love me some BB. I haven't tried the Opus, but I do commend the Endymion to you. Now if Phil could just get some Sartorial...

    Robert,

It sounds like you and the wife now have an excuse for a vacation on France. Let me know when you do and I'll accompany you.

Let me know when you do. I know some excellent, inexpensive French restaurants. The cuisine is simply divine.

BTW...It appears that my condition is beginning to show some improvement. I've been watching my carbs.

    Monroe,
That's excellent news my friend . I am so happy to hear about your improvement . You've been on my mind lately...Good to hear my friend, good to hear. lay off the simple carbs and the bad fat (especially red meat) and eat lots of fruits (dark ones) and lots of veggies...nothing better imo. Keeps your heart pumping like new. Control the sugar that way...best "natural" medicine you can get.

We'd love for you and your wife to join us on vacation, but you know that if you come with us, I am going to make you exercise and go hiking with us (no easy out for you buddy). Having said that, France is the last place I would like to go on vacation ...for several years, at least. She and I (together and alone) have been to almost every corner of France, several times over. I am saturated with France right now . Although my wife would still jump at the opportunity no matter what. She LOVES Paris and London...In her mind, those are the BEST cities in the world. I guess I am more of the explorer in our family

Wife and I are considering "Switzerland/Northern Italy" trip road trip for Sept of 2011 (she wants to plan it this time). This was on the agenda in 2010 but for many reasons it didn't happen. We have people in both countries that we would like to visit as well as relax with some country-side, take in the scenery, do a little hiking, photography and eat locally.

Their website has the 170g soap (with glass jar) for ~$47 or so. I was thinking about buying it and shipping it to my friend in Paris and he can bring it with him when he visits. I will never have him pick it up at the airport.

    Thanks Tom,
I'll look into it...Hmmmm, but it's funny. You're not the only one that recommended this soap to me, today. 2 people in the span of one day...independently . Nice coincidence

The manufacturer (Cathy) is a member of the german forum. I call her "Mom"! (But I think she is much more younger than I am.)

After a day in Key Biscayne (swimming nearby the lighthouse) we had our dinner in the HRC Miami.

It was the last shave in Miami. Tomorrow in the afternoon we fly back to Germany.

    Default Thursday Morning Shave!

Shavemac 21mm | Provence Sante Verlaine | Dovo Bismark Spike | Alum | Art of Shaving Sandalwood Balm | Mambear's Dragons Blood Cologne

This Dovo is kind of my hone experiment blade. After not being happy with my results last time, I took it back to the coticule and gave it 50 additional laps with just water. This smoothed out the edge a lot, and I got a comfortable smooth shave. Still not smooth as butter, but pretty close.

    Tom,
There will be no swimming in Germany until summer...I hope you enjoyed your FL visit...I certainly did

Have a safe trip back home and see your next SOTD, German style.
