Thanks to all if I missed any posts. Had a great weekend with the girls and other family members. The Penn State game was very cold. Had a great time except they lost.
Even on a cold blustery day he stadium is full. FYI, it holds 107,000. Second largest stadium in the US.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Week of November 28 SOTD - Monday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Razor: 7/8" Solingen Stainless (Friodur Blank), 1/4 Hollow, Round Point Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger Überlather: Trumper's Violet Shave Creme + Mama Bear's "Victorian Violets" Shave Soap + Glycerin Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-Free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Amber Result: Today was a good test of this beauty's performance, especially after a no-shave Sunday. I got this beautiful Solingen Stainless from David (aka, Cadomniel). The scales are snakewood and the blade is made from Friodur Blanks (at least that is my understanding). The edge was in need of a little honing TLC. Being a 1/4 hollow and ss, it took a little bit longer than usual to set the bevel to an even tone using the Naiwa 1k. But once she was there and cutting hair, the progression to the Coticule (La Grosse Blanche) and the Kiita/Asagi JNat finisher was effortless. The reward was an astonishingly sharp, yet smooth edge. And what they say is true: spending time on the bevel is key to achieving the proper edge (I am still perfecting this step). Trumper's and Mama Bear's Violet combo was a delight to the senses. What a way to start Monday. The Solingen had no problems with my thick, 24 hr beard...mowed through that bush like a hot knife through butter. Monday is off to a fabulous start.

Have a great Monday guys.
