Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W Razor: Wellington Brush: Simpson Persian jar 3 Cream: Mühle - Aloe Vera Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel ASM: KD Creations - Unscented EDT: Habit Rouge - Guerlain The Wellington is a nifty, sharp little shaver. I don't have much info about it but it looks so close to the Red Imp 133 and shaves identical to my vintage c-mon. Aloe Vera shaving cream and KD creations AS milk with added Aloe Vera juice (amongst other super nourishing ingredients) made my skin feeling extremely nourished and healthy looking. The piece the resistance is my old time favorite vintage Habit Rouge de Guerlain. I'm happy. Wishing all my brothers an excellent new week in our SOTD addiction.

Geneva Cutlery Pyramid 5/8
New Forest 2211
Mitchell's Wool Fat ss
Thayers Astringent WH w/ aloe
Musgo Real a/s balsam
Woods of Windsor Edt
I managed to give myself the best straight shave I've had in a while. I think my face likes the Geneva Cutlery steel or else I just felt confident enough to really work on the final touch up strokes. The MWF lather helped provide a great medium for the razor and the Musgo Real balm remains one of my favorites. I had to follow it with the Woods of Windsor (another of my favorites). What a great start to the day.

A British inspired shave. Da' Fat led the way, whipped up by the New Forest (from England via China, but who cares?) 2-band badger. Today's choice of libation, again of British pedigree is the always warm and welcoming Harvey's Bristol Cream...
The wee Halloween punkin' has been touched by the frost, symbolizing the end of harvest and entry of a cold winter.. The little wedge blade is a test bed at the moment, and may be making routine appearances.

Result: BBS!! I have finally done it. I have achieved an edge as effortless and comfortable as what I remember Max put on this very razor over a year ago. It only took a full run through the nagura hone method and 100 laps on leather. Words cannot express the joy of a 'student' finally achieving results similar to a 'master'.
Thank you so very much Max for setting the bar so high, not to mention bringing this razor back to life in one of a kind scales. Thanks also to all the fine gentlemen here with their fine photography and kind words of encouragement. That's why I love the SOTD!
