Today is the wedding anniversary shave.
Started with hot shower and Stephan's Conditioning Shave Cream rubbed into the whiskers twice.
Warm oil
Dirty Bird Scuttle
New Forest Badger
Nancy Boy Cucumber shave cream
Stropped 100 laps on leather
W&B Celebrated Barbers notch
AOS Aluminum
Nancy Boy After shave gel
Vaseline for men
First time using the Nancy Boy Cucumber and AS Gel. Had to work with the amount of water to add to the shave cream but with a little patience it lathered up really well and had a really nice fragrance.
The W&B needed a quick re-fresh since it was pulling a little bit. 4-5 laps on the SRD Paddle with Crox and a few more laps on the leather and it was back to effortless shaving. I don't know if it was the razor or the whiskers. After a certain amount of time, my beard gets very tough. A little before or a little after and there seems to be no problem. At a certain point, if the razor is not perfect, it will pull.
Due to the Anniversary, this would be appropriate in the SOTD.

Thank you
Thank you. It will be very soon.
Thank you and your wife. I don't know if your wife is Japanese, I have a very close friend who has a Masters Degree in Japanese Literature. He spent a number of years in Japan teaching English as a second language. He also spends one month every year someplace in the mountains with his Sensei getting his butt kicked.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
