Result: BBS!! I have finally done it. I have achieved an edge as effortless and comfortable as what I remember Max put on this very razor over a year ago. It only took a full run through the nagura hone method and 100 laps on leather. Words cannot express the joy of a 'student' finally achieving results similar to a 'master'.
Thank you so very much Max for setting the bar so high, not to mention bringing this razor back to life in one of a kind scales. Thanks also to all the fine gentlemen here with their fine photography and kind words of encouragement. That's why I love the SOTD![/INDENT]

Happy Birthday Bassguy and Congratulations on the honing success!

Once in awhile, a DE is what the day calls for. There's just no substitute.

    Prep:Hot shower
    Brush:TGN Custom 24mm Silvertip Premium A
Strop: SRD Premium IV English Bridle
    Scuttle: SRD
Uberlather: AOS Sandalwood soap, KD Creations Sandalwood, 5 drops glycerin
Razor: Wade & Butcher “For Barbers use”
    After shave: Masters Bayrum
    EDT: Burberry “Weekend”

Result:A 2 pass quick shave today. I'm thinking about having this W&B customized as the scales are flimsy, and the blade has never been perfectly sharp. The image today is not a great one, I had an unexpected visit from my mother in law while I was setting up and I only got 1 out of focus shot. I can't believe the incredible posts so far today gentlemen! Simply AMAZING!!!
