Post Week of December 5 SOTD - Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 8/8" Dorko, Full Hollow, Round Point
    Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger
Überlather: CarrieM "Lilac & Lilly of the Valley" Shave creme + Mama Bear's Myrrh Shave Soap + Glycerin
Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
    Cologne: Alt Innsbruck EDC
Result: Today was a good day for the Dorko (from Rene ) and my new CarrieM custom scent (Lilac/LOV) creme. What a combo. I mixed some of Mama bear's Myrrh soap with CarrieM's creme for some amazing lather action. WoooHoooo . The Dorko gave me a terrific and blissful shave and left me with a refreshingly BBS skin. Some Trumper's moisturizer mixed with a few drops of Alt Innsbruck (love the smell) finished the job. Boy...I don't know what it is about a moisturizer/AS mix, but it certainly leaves my skin amazingly moisturized and protected (much more so than AS alone...which I don't like).

Excellent! This sounds like a shave cream straight out of a fairy tale! Can you describe the scent?

Robert: those blades are sweeet . I wanted those Mamma Bears wooden bowls too, but shipping alone was considerly more than the cost of the bowls. Looks _very_ nice though!

Glad to hear you found the sweet spot, Frank. MdC truly is some wonderful soap!

Thanks for the editing, Max. The new quoting guidelines really have made the SOTD a lot nicer to look through.
You should make a big post about compressing quotes like you did about photos so that everyone knows about it

    Geneva Cutlery Henry's X
    Semogue 2009 LE #19
    Tabac ss
    Thayers Cucumber WH w/ aloe
    Lilac Vegetal a/s
    KD Creations a/s milk
    Tabac Edc

Another very good shave with the Henry's X...the Tabac always produces a fine lather for two passess and a couple of touch up passess around my neck and jawline. I had more than enough left over for two head shave passes. Broke out the Lilac Vegetal for some nostalgia (I used it back in high school and college) and tried to overcome it with the Tabac cologne...Definitely a great shave and today will be better than yesterday.
