Thanks mate. Yes they are bone, but they were very thin, and one had a crack so they have clear acrylic liners. If your interested there are more details here http://straightrazorpalace.com/custo...one-graft.html

    Cool S.O.T.D. 12-15-10. P.M. Shave.

Hello everyone. It has been awhile since I've posted in S.O.T.D. I noticed the Thanks have been removed. Why? I'm going to miss the Thanks button, very much. Its not like I can't handle change though. Thanks button just made it so much faster. Having a wife, a 14 year old son, my wife has 3 kids of her own, and a full time job, doesn't leave much time to post a thread for everyone I want to thank. I usually thanked everyone. So, with all that said, I want to thank everyone right now for their posts, and pics of everyones shave of the days. During my absence I always cruised through here, at the shave of the day, to look at all the awesome photos and posts, and always enjoyed them. Well, here finally is my S.O.T.D. post. Ive been sick and have not shaved in over 2 weeks.

    Default Thursday morning

    Pre: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 2
    Razor: J Rodgers
    Soap: Nannys Yoshu
    AS: Old Spice Musk
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean
Wow, this brush is a monster. So nice! Our soapmakers should buy or sponsor this brush for all of us, that way they would triple their soap sale, it eats soaps. I shaved the head + face and towards the end I thought I got a little low on lather/soap, but a gentle squeeze at the knots bas gave loads of new lather .

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Brush:Custom TGN 24mm Premium A
Strop: SRD Premium IV English Bridle 50 leather
    Scuttle: SRD
    Cream: AOS Sandalwood
    Razor: Kobar “Souvenir of Wiesbaden”
    After shave: Ogallala
    EDT:Cuba Red

Result: The “Thursday” Kobar razor performed exceptionally well this morning. The scent of the AOS shaving cream and the smoothness of the blade left me BBS this morning. Time to go and fight the ice covered roads to work. Be safe out there gentlemen!

Have an excellent day gentlemen, you've earned it!
