01-14-2011, 11:32 AM #224Razor: Klas TornblomWhat a tremendous shave! This past weekend I was exchanging PMs with a member here on the forum and I made an off-hand comment about wanting him to enlist him to find me some Swedish steel. Next thing I know, we'd worked out a deal for this stunning razor. I certainly got the better end of this deal. The blade is impeccable, and I only wish my meager photography skills could do it justice.
Lather: QCS Celestial Woods + Scherzeep Sandalwood & Vetiver + Glycerin
Brush: Shavemac Silvertip
ASB: AOS Sandalwood
Scent: Dabur Sandalwood
For this razor's maiden voyage, I wanted to honor the beautiful country side from which it came so the Celestial Woods was an easy choice. I combined that with some soap from the seller's favorite maker to get a bit of Sandalwood and Vetiver in the mix--what a glorious combination. The Shave den was filled with such great aroma and I quickly saw that the Tornblom gives an amazing shave. It is light with a very hollow grind, and the whiskers couldn't run fast enough to save themselves.
I followed the shave with more Sandalwood and I'm now ready for anything work can throw at me today!

Friday
Pre: Hot shower
Brush: Polo 8
Razor: Klas Törnblom
Soap: Nannys/Soap Alchemists Patchouli
AS: Pacco Rabanne Ultra Violet
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean
Had to bring this one out, was going to take my Boker, but this one was screaming for my attention. Lather was perfect, plenty enough for both face and head. Nannys new name´s Soap Alchemist, hmm, I was used to Nanny, lol. Nice one Amund! ^^

That jar is for a special razor that I am waiting for. It is an old sealable jar a freind used to place freshly made Mozzarella Cheese in.
I really like that razor!
I have a 4 year old AOS Pure Badger that I really love to use. It seems to just get softer and bigger with age.
Thanks!!

Prep: Shower/Hot Towel
Strop: Illinois 835
Brush: Comoy Badger
Cream: Tabac
Razor: Simmons Barbers Pet 5/8
A/S: Old Spice
Result: Nothing preps the face like an hour and a half of mowing lawns on a summer afternoon. I had my shower and shave at 5pm. A good refreshing shave but this one is in need of a touch up.
