    Default Jacky Boy Update

Just thought some of you would be interested in an update on how Jack is going. We are going back to Sydney on Monday, Jack has a procedure on Tuesday. He is getting his port-a-cath removed. The port is a device surgically implanted under the skin on his chest into which I.V. chemo is delivered. The port has a tube running from it directly into his Jugular vein. Its a big and very positive milestone in his treatment to have it removed, as all his Chemo is given orally now, but he's very nervous. He is a brave man though, he'll be OK.
He is such a sweet little guy. His Mamma asked him last night "If you could have any present in the whole world, what would you want", you know what he said, "Umm, a sticker!"
    I love him.

This is the very first thing I read when I got in to my office today and it brought a tear to my eye as well as a smile. This is good news Grant and thank you for sharing his progress with us. Best of luck!

Thank you Fonti...I forget which wood it is, but SRD (which is where I got it from) doesn't carry that anymore. Congratulations on your Livi acquisition too. You will enjoy the shaves she gives.

What a tremendous shave! This past weekend I was exchanging PMs with a member here on the forum and I made an off-hand comment about wanting him to enlist him to find me some Swedish steel. Next thing I know, we'd worked out a deal for this stunning razor. I certainly got the better end of this deal.
    Bill,
What a beautiful blade. I could swear that looks like one of Mikael's blades (but I think I am wrong, his has white scales - next post to yours. He may have had another). Regardless, a very nice exchange. That's what SRP is all about...friendships and nice side effects that come along with that friendship. Enjoy it for many years to come and your SOTD is great and does do the blade justice.

    Mikael,
The Klas is a beauty. Glad you gave her the TLC she deserves.

That is indeed very good new Grant. These ports normally don;t come off that fast. ***CONGRATULATIONS***. Please give him a BIG 5 (and a BIG hug and kiss) on behalf of our kids, who will be elated to find out, my wife and I and my family. Little Jack has become a long distance adopted son in our family at home and I am sure in this forum as well...

but stickers is what he wished for? Of all things he could have, he wished for stickers? what kind of stickers? he is soooo cute. Get the boy some stickers, will you? Tell him not to be nervous...this is great news and to be strong.

No it isn't. I ordered the new one yesterday.

Robert, you did, indeed, remember correctly. This beauty used to occupy a stall in Mikael's stable, but she's now living across the pond in the DC area!
