Used the Satinedge again, but honing it on Norton actually made it WORSE. Gave me a couple of nicks and lots of pulling. I guess I have to get to know the stone a bit better before I use it on my shavers again. My two shavers will go back to the Japanese slipstones and the coticule for starters, at least until I figure out the Norton with my project blades. The only other change in gear/procedures was using DBR instead of my homemade mix.

    Hot Shower

    5/8 Case spike
    Vulfix 374 silvertip
    Tony Miller strop
    Williams Mug soap
    Taylors Mr. Taylor AS

I couldn't resist the urge to finally
try a more expensive AS. But I will
never give up Old Spice or Pinaud
    Bay Rum.

Williams soap is definately a good soap IMHO
I use it from time to time just to remind myself
that it does get the job done.
