Hot shower
moss scuttle
T&H 1805
Edwin Jagger BB brush
Genco square point 5/8 - laser honed by Joe
30 trips on Tony Miller #1 strop
TAZGMSC aftershave
Royall Lyme
Wow, great shave. I'm discovering that sometimes it's easy to get enamored with your "pretty" razors... the revisor, the W&B, the kronpunkt, etc and you forget that the ol' workhorse is there. This genco isn't flashy, but man does it shave nice. What a treat today. Probably helps that this is one of the razors that Joe honed for me on his laser setup.

Wednesday
Same as Tuesday, but I took both razors for 3, 1/3 laps, a tiny pyramid.
Better, but not quite. I had to finish the against the grain pass with MY Bresnick Special.
Those two are gonna get a small pyramid next.

Hot as heck tonight in San Jose so I started off with a cold shower, followed by a good hot face soak.
Trumper's Lime
C&E best badger
moss scuttle
5/8 Heljestrand
Tony Miller #1 strop
TAZGMSC aftershave
Royall Lyme
I need to do a bit more work on the heljestrand I think. I need to polish the blade now that I have some maas and it could probably do with a few more short trips on the pasted paddle. It shaves very smooth, it's just nowhere near as sharp as the ones Joe honed for me (why am I not surprised?). This is my "learning to hone" razor and I'm slowly turning it into a pretty good piece, slowly but surely.

-face wash
-prep with elcheapo soap/brush
-took the Satinedge to Tony's #2
-CH CB creme/C&E BB
-my aftershave mix
-The Satinedge needs a bit of a refreshment. I may give it more work on the Norton before I take it back to the coticule.
-Used too little CB so the lather was watery. A very messy shave.
