Le Grelot | Kanayama | Semogue Custom Boar | Cade SS | Thayers Rose | Cade ASB | Montale Patchouli Leaves
What a shave! I was talking to our friend Robert last night and told him I was going to commit to using the Cade for a solid week to see if I couldn't figure this soap out. Today was day one, and I got a pretty good lather, particularly considering I'm breaking in my newest boar brush. The lather was creamy, and slick. I've still got lots of room to improve, but the shave was great--so great that I couldn't resist posting it twice! I hope you gentlemen will forgive that indulgence.
A great week of shaves. Thank you one and all for your contributions to the SOTD forum!

Saturday
Robert: Get well asap!
Baldy: Have fun with Baldy jr on the beach, you both deserve it!!
Pre: Hot shower
Brush: Simpson PJ3
Razor: Henkotsu
Soap: Nannys Citrus Zinger
AS: Dr Harris Sandalwood
Strops: Neil Miller x3 + my thin Dovo (perfect width )
Result: Very clean
I´m very happy to get such a good result (in my eyes) with my first kamisori shave ever . I could prob. have used a little more of a direct touch, but my respect for these razors are greater than my will to get a perfect shave (it´ll come, in time). Thank you Telly, the powers have tried their best to delay this shave, but you came through for me.

Glenn/Tom/Moonbeam/Monroe/Jeff/Sachin:
Thank you for the very kind words and good wishes gentlemen. Can't wait to feel 100% human again.
Tom (eTom):
Now, that's what I am talking about.
Otto:
My wife's chicken soup will cure just about anything....lots and lots of onions.
Mikael,
I am so glad you like the Kamisori shave. it definitely is a different sort of challenge, but worth it in every way. Congratulations...great buy for 2011.
Bill,
Glad the Cade is starting to show her truer colors than the first time you tried her. However, it's never going to be as slick and thick as Al's creme. There's Al's creme, and then there's everything else.

Prep:Hot shower
Brush:TGN Custom
Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
Cream: Bomb “Goodfellas”
Razor: Livi 6/8
After shave: Ogallala Bay rum & Sandalwood
EDT: Aramis
Result: I love a lazy Saturday morning shave. I touched up the Livi on the Asagi this morning and it mowed through the 2 days of growth with ease. 3 passes and very smooth. I've got to go out and stock up the food supplies as we have more snow coming tonight and next week.
Have a great Saturday Gentlemen, you've earned it!
