CV Heljestrand MK No 31 - Rudy Vey Ivory - Yardley - Aveda Gel

Gentlemen, please check your toiletries. There should be a symbol on the package resembling a jar with an open lid, and a number on it. That's how many months it is expected to last once opened. Using my Aveda gel aftershave last night was a rude reminder that I've been shaving for 2 years now and I need to toss the Aveda.

    Tuesday, February 22:

    Razor: D R Harris Chatsworth
Blade: Schick Plus Platinum (With Teflon)
Brush: Rudy Vey Beehive with Shavemac Knot
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: D R Harris Arlington

This is shave #7 on the Schick blade and it is still going strong. I enjoyed another excellent shave followed by my favorite Bay Rum. I am now ready for the day.

British Personna/Perma sharp blade/Turkish Horsehair/Tet-a-Tet SC and ASB

Yesterday's shave with the Rolls was so close I didn't have much stubble today. So I opted for this little personna. I was so impressed with the Tet-a-Tet yesterday that I'm using it again. It was whipped up to a luxurious cream by this 2 dollar Turkish brush. 3 gentle passes,, leaving my face and head BBS and soft.
    Have a Great day

Post Week of February 20 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Razor: 11/16" J.R. Torrey, Full Hollow, Spike Point
Strop: 45/55 (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Cyril Salter "French Vetiver" Shave Creme + SRD "Vetiver" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
    Cologne: Penhaligon Quercus EdC
Results: On this fine Tuesday morning, the Torrey (gifted to me by Rene) came out shining. This blade has sentimental meaning and value for me. I opted for a Vetiver scented prep...Although the Cyril Salter creme does not need to be uber-ed, her wonderful combination with the SRD Vetiver SC/SS created a formidable über-companion that complemented the Torrey. A truly a blissful shave.

    Have a Fabulous Tuesday guys.
