Thanked: 1Razor: Dovo Prima Klang 5/8
Cream: Penhaligon's 1870
Brush: GFT Best Badger
ASB: Trumper's Coral
EDT: Penhaligon's 1870
First shave with my new Prima Klang, which is also my very first *professionally* honed razor (as I'm just learning). Shave was fantastic, much more enjoyable than a DE or my feather straight. Couldn't be happier.

Razor:1969 Gillette,Long Handled,Super Adjustable ,Black Beauty on #2
Blade :Nil
Soap and Cream and Brush: Nil
ASB and Cologne :Nil
Back in '74 when I was reporting to the Royal Military Academy, among other few good things my late father gave me was this Gillette,he wanted me to have a good shave everyday. Not familiar with the settings, the blade always skinned my chin and upper lips and I decided to 'soldier-boxed' it until today, that is after 13 years leaving the service.
Last week's SotD, our senior member Stroker posted a #9 Gillette and that sent me to my old apartment to look for my soldier-box.I spent 4 days going after every boxes but in vain and I thought I have lost it.Today while doing some cleaning,I found a pouch somewhere in the store and on opening it I found the Gillette, still operational and looking good.Could care much how the pouch went out the box but I am veryyyyy happy indeed.
Gentlemen ,this Gillette now recalled as my travelling buddy will always be cared for.
As for the SotD,whether I shave or not today,THIS IS MY SotD

Started the morning with a hot shower and rubbed the Stephen's into my whiskers.
Warm Oil
Hannah Ceramic Bowl
New Forest Badger
Cella Shave Cream
Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett 385 OVB Shoulderless
10 laps .25 micron Diamond spray, 10 laps .5 micron Crox,
25 cotton/50 laps leather Ambrose Strop
Aluminum block
Aramis ASB
Aramis Cologne
Vaseline for men
Have not shaved since Friday and at this point my beard is very tough. First time using the Cella shave cream and to be honest, it did not thrill me. I'll fiddle around with the amount of water I use but it seemed thin compared to the others. I am thrilled that in the box of stuff with the Cella was the Acca Kappa.
Shave was close as agreed to by the warden during the BBT. The razor pulled a bit so it needs to go back on the stones. Last week was a series of long drives and long days so I went shopping and picked up some stuff I wanted.
The package with the Cell and AK also arrived with a DE blade sample and some other stuff. I picked up a couple Gillette DE razors and a new bottle of Scotch to sample.
Today, I feel better and relaxed. Weekends seem to be getting shorter.
Enjoy the day!!!“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Thanked: 2516Great find Moonbeam! That baby will clean up real nice and look brand new with a little metal polish for the head and some toothpaste and brush on the handle. They are excellent shavers and you will love it! What is so cool about them is you can adjust it to whatever level of aggressiveness you want. Your beard is probably a lot tougher now than when you went into the Royal Military Academy. (I know mine is!) Enjoy it my friend!

I really wish my pictures were better. The TR Cadmen on the right had the blade restored by Max. Awesome job. The scales are original and gorgeous. I honed it a few weeks ago. Not quite there. I honed up the Numax on friday night. She came out very nice. Both were up to C12K. So they are going on the Nakayama. BBS but a few tiny irritation spots.

GOOD MORNING ALL
A very crisp 36 deg. here in south central PA.
PRE: Slow, hot and soothing shower
SC: T&H Trafalgar
BRUSH: Rooney
RAZOR: Wm. Elliot & Co.
ASB: D&G Light Blue
My wife spied this Blade in a antique store almost mint condition. A little honing and it shaves pretty good although I think I'd like to tweak it a little. But all in all respectable shave.
Have a nice Sunday everyone.
Jim
