Thanks, Grant, it is a Maxterpiece! He did a wonderful job, particularly given that this Friodur suffers from their typical bent tang. He managed to put it together in such a way that it centers nice and straight. It's such a joy to use this big blade now.

This was my first Straight Razor. Haven't
shaved with it since RAD took over, this
razor gives an extremely smooth, close
shave, better than I remember ! But then
again, I've learned alot since then. Over all
a fantastic shave with some not so
fantastic memories, but its all good now !

Hope everything is okay, Jeff... Better to see the shave late, than to never get the privilege!

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 28mm Shavemac 410
Razor: 9/16" WM Elliot No. 73, muted square point
    Strop: DOVO Cowshide
    Superlather: Tabac
    Astrigent: Alum
    Aftershave balm: Nivea Sensitive
    Results: Awesomely smooth B-Day shave.

First off: Robert, my condolences. Good luck in the time up ahead.

After the troubles with my neck I had a great shave last Friday-morning. But I wasn't able to post it because of time constraints(work). It was a nice shave with only 1 pass on the neck, it wasn't (too)smooth, but the shave was really comfortable.

Now after not shaving the entire weekend I had a wonderful shave this evening. I got out the WM Elliot, my first ever razor, for a spin. Paying attention to the pressure, especially on my neck, I got a very clean 3 pass shave, zero sting from the alum. Perfect for my 24th birthday tomorrow.

Have a and a great Tuesday gentlemen.
