We just got got back this morning from a long weekend away with an organization called Camp Quality. They work with cancer kids and their families, giving them some good times. My family and 8 others spent the weekend enjoying activities such as 10 pin bowling, a trip to a marine park, BBQ's, surf rafting at the beach, and dinner last night at a seafood restaurant. all expenses paid for including accommodation by Camp Quality. Truly a fantastic organization and a great bunch of people.
Result: Unfortunately I burnt my hand quite badly in the kitchens tonight and shaving was very difficult, but I managed one pass. I hadn't shaved for 4 days and the W&B did very well with just one pass, not quite BBS but I'm happy.
Thanks for all the great posts and pics over the last few days, I've just been catching up
Jeff, sorry to hear about your Ma

Beautiful blade Grant. Great to hear that camps like this are there, funded and used by families such as yours. Did Jack enjoy it?

PS: Sorry to hear about your hand. Cooking can be hazardous to your health. Hope you heal fast. Brns are never fun. If you have some Aloe Vera plant, cut a piece and rub the juice over the burnt area. Works like a charm

    Default Shaveden Remodel SOTD

Happy Monday, Gentlemen. I have finished a "remodel" of my shave den (1/2 bath off my bedroom) and got a fine shave in there this morning with one of my faves, a Henckels #38.
I am especially proud of the faucet. The gooseneck swivels around and the nozzle pulls out on a hose to rinse the sink! The glass shelf was a great idea over the sink. I suppose I should get a new brush now. Have a great week, Guys.

    Hang in, nightbreed.

Post Week of March 27 SOTD - Monday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 22mm New Forest Silvertip Badger
Razor: 8/8" DORKO, Full Hollow, Round Point
Strop: 45/65 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: SRD "Bulgarian Rose" Shave Soap
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Proraso AS Splash
After Shave Balm: eShave Almond ASB
Results: I gave the NF brush a nice cleaning yesterday and the bristles regained all of its original softness. A Wonderful feeling, especially in combination with the SRD Rose (which is no longer being sold by SRD...hopefully, Don and Lynn will bring it back). As far as the razor, the DORKO was in order for today's shave and she performed marvelously. She truly is an amazing shaver. I can't say enough about this blade. A nice and BBS feel and ready to start this week off.

    Have an MARVELOUS Monday gentlemen.

PS: One thing I don't like about the new format of the forum is the tables. I liked it better in the past. The new tables format looks blahh
