About the honing:
The black one yesterday was honed on 1K Chosera followed by a La Dressante au Bleu Coticule.
Did heavy slurry and diluted until the edge was maxed out. Finally did 40 strokes on a Nakayama Maruichi finisher

The white one was honed on 1-5-10K Chosera, and finished on my Y/G Escher.

Both came out great, Couldn't ask for any more really. If I have to choose, I would go for todays edge. I've had the Escher for a long time, so I know it really well. And knowing the stones is a good thing
Besides, the Choseras are amazing stones. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Yessir, I am eagerly awaiting the results of that experiment. It will be really interesting to hear the results from that test. It's in my subscribed posts list
