No this is no mug, it is a vintage mortar I found today at the Fortress " Festung Königsstein" in East Saxony. More pictures you'll find in "Pipe of the day"

ADELENE single edge safety razor/ Gem Pella blade/ La Toja shave stick/ Vie Long Horsehair brush/ Ogallala Bay Rum and sandlewood

First time I've used this razor. It's pretty aggressive, more than a Gem 1912. Started off slow and gentle 2 passes and man was it a DFS almost BBS. Felt confident and did a third pass ATG. This razor feels good in my hands, well balanced but a little light. I wasn't as careful as previous passes and gave myself a BIG nick on the chin. This razor is real picky with the blade angle and it is not forgiving at all. I am very impressed with the closeness of shave that this old razor can deliver. It is going to be moving into my rotation, but I'll have to give it the respect that it deserves.
